Staying on Track: Crushing your Fitness Goals During Christmas 2024

Staying on track for Fitness Goals is a difficult thing to do sometimes. With all the holiday craziness we know it can be difficult to get into the gym or make time for yourself to workout. We wanted to provide some tips and tricks about different ways to be able to stay on track for your fitness goals during Christmas!

Tips and Tricks to Help

One tip to be able to stay on track for your fitness goals is to try to hit 10,000 steps everyday! Having a step goal to hit everyday will help ensure you are moving even if you can’t make it into the gym. A step goal is a simple goal because you don’t need to leave your house to achieve the number of steps in your goal, you can walk around your kitchen, walk up and down your stairs, or even back and forth in a hallway. 

Another tip is trying to hit a certain number of different types of movement each day. For example, if your kids take a nap mid day try to knock out squats or push ups or sit ups. Any movement that you can do with no equipment is a really easy way to help you stay on track with your fitness goals. You can even choose 3 different movements and make a little workout that you do either right when you wake up or while your kids are napping or before you go to bed. It can be that easy! You can do 50 squats, 50 sit ups and 50 push ups every day when you’re busy to help you stay moving. 

A simple tip is to plan ahead. Make sure you have your days figured out in advance and simply cut out time for yourself to be able to get a workout in. It will make all the difference in the world if you plan everything accordingly. 

Setting Fitness Goals

You can also set goals for your sleep and hydration during the month of December. Hydration and sleep play a big role in our recovery and our fitness. Ensuring we are getting 7-9 hours of sleep every night and drinking plenty of water is crucial for recovery and being healthy.
