There are many benefits to yoga. Here are a few of the benefits: holistic fitness, reduced anxiety and stress, inner peace, improved relationships, amplified intuition, boosts the immune system, improves sleep, increases energy, and allows you to have better strength, flexibility and posture. 

But how does it help you in the gym?

If you regularly practice yoga it can help prevent injury, enhance muscle function, and combat stress. These are all very important components of sports performance. It can also help improve flexibility, balance, coordination, and lung function. It ultimately helps with the basics of working out by building balance and core strength while helping with stamina and endurance for the longer run.

Different Forms

There are different forms that you can participate in and each form offers different benefits to you. There is acro, aerial, ashtanga, hatha, hot yoga, iyengar, kundalini, power, prenatal, restorative, vinyasa, and yin yoga. 

Do It!

Incorporating it into your training will help you in the gym and out of the gym. Try to do it a couple of times a month to start to reap the benefits of it. We offer yoga on Tuesdays 7:45pm-8:30pm and Saturdays 11am-12pm. Come check it out!
