How to Make 2025 a Successful Year for your Fitness Journey

Goal Setting

The first step to making 2025 a successful year for your fitness journey is to start by setting goals. Setting goals will help you lay out what you want to achieve and think of a plan to get to where you want to be. When setting goals make sure you are setting realistic goals.

Set your one big goal you want to reach by the end of the year and then set smaller goals that will help you achieve the bigger goal. For example if your big end goal for 2025 is to lose a certain amount of weight then you can set smaller goals to achieve it like:

  • Making it into the gym 3 times a week
  • Hitting a specific amount of protein everyday
  • Making sure you only eat out X times per week or month
  • Trying to lose smaller amounts of weight per month
  • Other little things like that to help you achieve your larger goal

Fitness Buddy

Another good idea to be able to make 2025 a successful year for your fitness journey is to have a fitness buddy or in another term an accountability buddy. This will help motivate you to make it into the gym more often than you would if you were alone. It adds a little more fun to your workout routine if you have someone to do it with. This way you can plan out your weeks together to ensure you will actually make it into the gym and even help each other decide what you want to do in the gym.

Another great aspect that can help with motivation are group classes. Group classes help you push yourself in workouts and meet new people! It gives you a new community outside of your job and will help you meet new friends! 

Prioritizing your fitness routine

Another easy way to make 2025 a successful year for your fitness journey is to prioritize your fitness routine. Take a couple of minutes every Sunday to plan out your weeks. Sit down and go over your calendar and see when you can fit in your workout everyday during the upcoming week. If you know it is going to be hard to make it into the gym then make sure you cut out some time to at least do some sort of movement or workout at home when you have the time.

Being able to schedule out your workout times will make it harder to make up excuses as to why you can’t do it and it will make it harder to fill up your day where you won’t have time to workout since you already have time carved out to workout. 

Tracking your progress

Finally another easy way to be successful in your fitness journey this year is to track your progress. There are multiple different ways you can track your progress over the course of the year. You can track your food you are eating to see where you are within your calories / macros.

Another easy way is to track your workouts. You can write down what you do for each workout and each lift to see how far you progress over the year. You can also take progression photos of yourself to see how your physical appearance changes so you don’t get discouraged. It is hard to see your physical progress when you see yourself everyday so progression photos will help you be able to see how much you have changed.

You can also track your progress with Inbody Scans to see the actual numbers on paper. Inbody Scan’s are great to be able to see what your one weight number is actually made up of. They break down your water weight, fat mass, muscle mass, etc! There are multiple ways to track your progress and you can even track your progress using all of the methods discussed above as well!
