What is the TCF Open?
The TCF Open is an opportunity to have fun with the TCF Family in a fun, slightly different environment than we are used to in our classes. For three weeks, we will have weekly events on Friday nights for us to do workouts alongside our TCF Family and hangout with others from all different class times. There will be food and fun during the Friday Night Lights. The workouts are just like what we do every day in class!
TCF Open Workouts
The TCF Open workouts are just like a normal class workout we do every day, nothing different. Like any regular class, we can scale and adjust these workouts to our fitness level or meet us where we’re at. They’re the same movements we see every week. The verbiage is different where we call our three different workout versions Px, Fx and Lx on a normal day, but during the TCF Open they’re called Rx, Scaled and Foundations.
It’s all the same just like we scale a normal class workout except it just has different letters in front of it. Everything is still adjustable to your fitness level and still meeting us where we’re at! We’ll even be retesting some of the previous TCF Open workouts before the TCF Open begins to show how prepared we are for this fun! Also, our current progression is geared for preparing us even further for the TCF Open!
Why Should you do the TCF Open?
It is a great way to showcase our fitness progress over the past year! It is a great way to push ourselves and to try new things. It is also a family friendly internal challenge that lasts for 3 weeks. Maybe you get your first double under, your first pull up, a new PR on your clean and jerk, whatever it may be.
This is a great benchmark to see your progress and show your progress. It is also a great way to meet people within the gym and hangout with people outside of your normal class time. Everyone comes together on Friday Nights for the Friday Night Lights to celebrate together. It’s a great time to come out and hangout, bring your friends and family!
When are the Friday Night Lights?
The Friday Night Lights this year will be on February 28th, March 7th and March 14th from 4:30pm-7:30pm. Bring your friends and family to watch and have fun with the TCF Open. Remember, if you can’t make Friday night lights, then don’t worry! We will still be doing the workouts during all of the regular class times!
How will it work?
We are going to split everyone up into teams to make it more exciting and we will be competing between the teams to see who can get the most points across the three weeks. You can get points through judging people doing the workouts, doing the workout during the Friday night lights event, dressing up for the theme, and many more ways. There are so many different ways to get points for your team.
On Fridays we will do the workout throughout each class time, so if you can’t come to Friday Night Lights event, don’t worry you will still be able to do the workout! But the most fun will be during the Friday Night Lights. We will have different heats, food, workout and hangout areas. Come in and cheer people on, even if you can’t workout in the evening! At the end of the 3 weeks we will crown the Top TCF Team!
